About Us

Abbey Walmsley is an ‘internationally distinguished realist equine and wildlife artist recognised for her acute ability in capturing the most dramatic illusions of light, colour, movement and accuracy.’ Harrods, Art of Living 2003

Abbey Walmsley Fine Art is the corporate entity representing Abbey Walmsley artworks.  We originated in Lancaster, England and are now permanently based in Austria near Vienna. The aim of Abbey Walmsley Fine Art is to compel our viewers to develop a more acute sense of their world, and to re-examine the very process of vision and what it is to see.

Exceptionally Real defines Abbey Walmsley’s unwavering commitment to creating the most realistic art.  Illusions of light, movement, accuracy and colour are the mechanisms by which the imagination accesses the essence of the subject. In this way art expands the observer’s comprehension of nature and inspires an appreciation of animals, wildlife and wildlife habitat.

Our Conservation & Community Programmes are our way of supporting endangered species and sustaining the organisations that support the subject matter and the activities that form the basis of Abbey Walmsley’s artwork.
